Sole Principal of The Deans Legal Services – Kirsty Claridge FCILEX TEP – is a CLC Licensed Probate Practitioner, a Chartered Legal Executive Probate Practitioner (CILEX Lawyer) and Trust and Estate Practitioner. Kirsty specialises in Wills and Probate, including Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the Court of Protection. CLC Licensed Probate Practitioners and Chartered Legal Executives Probate Practitioners are qualified, specialist Lawyers, are fully regulated, and are Commissioners for Oaths.
Kirsty is passionate about her area of law and is constantly striving to improve and perfect her skills. In July 2016 she achieved both the Older Client Care in Practice and the Older Client Care in Law Awards from Solicitors for the Elderly, now the Association of Lifetime Lawyers, thereby achieving the status of a Full Accredited Member. Membership is reserved for Lawyers who can demonstrate a higher level of knowledge and skill in assisting elderly clients.
Kirsty Claridge is a Full Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), who are the leading providers of training and education in this area of law – membership is the gold standard in her profession. She has been awarded a distinction in the STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation. She has recently achieved the STEP Advanced Certificate in the Administration of Trusts and the STEP Advanced Certificate in the Taxation of Trusts and Estates. and was awarded the full member status (TEP) in 2019.
Kirsty grew up local to Saltdean and Rottingdean and has held a deep affection for the area since childhood. She lives here with her young family and is delighted to be able to offer her services locally. After training with a local firm and working for two larger local Solicitors, she has the experience to be able to offer the right advice, and now a higher level of personal service. Working for herself she can offer this expertise for a lower cost than you might expect to pay a more traditional law firm.
